Dedicated To You Launch

As pubs begin to re-open their doors, Tennent’s has pledged a pint to Scotland as part of its ‘Dedicated to You’ campaign.

Hundreds of thousands of complimentary pints of Tennent’s Lager and Tennent’s Light will be waiting for people to enjoy in around 2,000 licenced venues as the beer brand announced it is dedicating a pint to the nation. From Dingwall, in the north, to Gretna in the south, drinkers can again savour that crisp, refreshing pint they’ve been dreaming of during lockdown.

Tennent’s Lager has been a part of Scottish culture and society for 135 years and is now offering to buy Scotland a pint following a tough few months for everyone. With people unable to meet up with friends and family during this time, and many occasions and celebrations missed, Tennent’s wanted to be with the nation as people come together with those they care about after months of absence.

Scores of bars, restaurants, hotels and sports clubs, across Scotland, including Glasgow’s Pot Still, Hamilton’s Bar and Kitchen in Edinburgh and Dundee’s Bird and Bear have signed up and are looking forward to serving their customers quality pints of Scotland’s favourite beer once again.

Tennent’s announced Dedicated to You on 8th July with a beautiful video sound-tracked by former T-Break artist Declan Welsh and the Decadent West’s heart-warming anthem, Times – a song all about relishing life and being with friends. It’s the perfect accompaniment to the film that follows bartenders returning to work in some of the nation’s favourite outlets, alongside drinkers holding signs with names of people they would like to dedicate a well-deserved pint to.

As well as featuring across Tennent’s social channels, the video  will run on a multichannel television advert set to air on the 15 July across STV, Channel 4 and Sky TV.

Drinkers can claim their complimentary pint at Tennentsdedicatedtoyou.com. They can also share the campaign with someone close to them to allow them to sign up and claim a fresh quality pint of Tennent’s in one of the thousands of participating bars.

In recent weeks Scotland has been gradually getting back to business and the brewery team has been working around the clock to ensure freshly brewed pints of Tennent’s Lager and Tennent’s Light are available for outlets reopening all over the country.

Kenny Gray, Managing Director at Tennent’s, said: “For the last 135 years, Tennent’s Lager has been dedicated to Scotland and proud to serve the freshest, quality pints to pubs and drinkers across the country. From moments with friends and family to birthdays, holidays, anniversaries and graduations – the list of things we’ve all missed during this difficult period is endless – and we know that going to the pub ranks highly. After work drinks, cosy pub lunches and memorable nights out with friends have all been put on hold for nearly four long months.

“But we can now finally look forward to celebrating these important milestones once again while creating new ones and what better way to welcome everyone back than by dedicating a pint of Tennent’s Lager or Tennent’s Light to Scotland.”
